Heroes Exposed By Kevin Volo and Stephan Reid
Heroes Exposed is my way of having some fun. A few of the comics I write on my site are pretty dark. There aren’t to many laughs in Big Iron and Husk, and there are even fewer in my upcoming projects for the site, Splash Page and Heaven 2.0. The concept of Heroes Exposed is pretty simple, superheroes meet Jerry Springer. The host of the show is Lex Nash, a one-time hero, now talk show host. I try to poke fun at everything and anything, from comics, industry news, and fan sites, pretty much anything. It’s all about having fun. One of the episodes even stars the guys over at Comic Geek Speak. We also plan on having indie creators and other podcasters write episodes and put themselves on the show.
I was really lucky to find the amazing artist, Stephen Reid, to draw the comic. I sent him a description of what the strip was about and the characters, and he emailed me something back that was tack on. He hit the characters perfectly and every page since has made me crack up. He has over sixteen years of entertainment industry experience. He’s worked on all kinds of animated projects like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and James Bond Jr. I hand him a script with 4 lines of dialogue and he gives me something much more.
So stop over to Pixelstrips.com and take a look at Heroes Exposed and the other comics on the site. All the current comics are free to read, but support the site and the artists by subscribing to read the archives, extras, and tutorials. We have over 500 pages in our archives and growing!
PixelStrips.com has an amazing talent pool of established artists like Trevor Von Eedon, of Batman and Black Lighting comic fame, Winston Blakely and Matt Gasser from Valiant comics, and talented new artists like Christian Barrat (Sam and Sam), Allyson Amador (Corps.
